The on-grid solar system is often known as grid tie or connected solar system. This is the most cost-effective type of solar conservation system compared to off-grid and Stand-alone solar systems for electricity saving or reducing your bills.

In this system, a solar inverter converts the DC electricity produced by solar panels into AC electricity, which is then used directly at home or workplaces. If surplus power is being generated, it is fed into the main electrical grid via a solar net metering.
